Today I have been to Evans Cycles, looked at foldy bikes, folded, unfolded and sat on many, ridden one, proclaimed it to be a twitchy bastard, and decided "sod it, I'll just get one of the hardframes down here".
The plus side is that this costs nowt, and that I have discovered that my body still likes being on a bike, even in the middle of London, but is very specific as to the sort of bike it wants.
Therefore I shall now be tidying the flat With Extreme Prejudice and generally chucking out stuff that I don't use (not going to piss about with freecycle this time, too many timewasters). Time to reclaim control of my life, fitness, and finances, and no more excuses.
LJCYCLE: electronics
OK, there are a few pieces that are useful enough to pass on rather than chuck out. Or they might just get taken to work.
In approximately descending order of usefulness:
Netgear PS101 print server (size of a matchbox, plugs into a printer's parallel port, stick mains and ethernet on it and it's a network printer). Fiver, rest free.
Phillips fuck-knows-which webcam (PCA646 possibly?), not mac-compatible.
Fairly large "cambridge soundworks" PC speakers + mains adapter.
Two USB flashcard readers.
USB wireless mouse.
Two ADSL filters.
Analog mains timer switch.
Bunch of old phono/audio cables.
Everything except the speakers are small enough for me to stick in a rucksack to meet people somewhere - but I want rid of this PDQ.
jhg: I do appear to have that sodastream....
