FOCUS! Very nice (unfocused) cinematography, atmospheric, often scary, pretty well cast although the dwarf's welsh accent grated a bit, I'll swear the characters kept changing height relative to each other. The recurrent cycle of clam and crisis got a bit wearing, although that again may have been down to the mental effort of compensating for the focus; even the extremely pretty Legolas was starting to become tiringly blurred by the end. That said, a good film, even if nothing could have lived up to the hype - I can see the DVD entering my collection when it emerges, unless I end up waiting for the boxed trilogy.

Hence to bed, to dream of blurred elves and stuff. (And remembering to correct LJ's insistence that it's tomorrow already.)
