In much the same vein as the previous post
Good - I appear to have broadband. I opened iTunes, saw it start to download podcasts and thought "That'll take a while on dialup"... then realised I hadn't dialed in yet. So I'm wired again.
Also good - Hot bath => Not Feeling Ill (but see below)
Another good - The Streetcar system seems to work perfectly; book online (password and 2 clicks), wander over to the car (about 15 mins walk from here), touch the card to the car's reader, open doors, remove ignition key from glovebox and drive off. (PS: if you join up let me know, I get free miles). Good cars too (new VW golfs) which run well.
Bad - London traffic, drivers and lane markings. Takes a good hour to get to Ikea Croydon (but a bit less on the way back)
Good - Getting through Ikea and getting the furniture I want in under 30 minutes. Plus the fact I'd erred on the side of caution with the car booking times.
Bad - carrying said furniture up the stairs to the flat
Bad - Google's map back to the car's parking spot runs you right through a dead end. Inventive navigation required...
Bad - far too hot in Tesco; I overheated and got ill again.
Good - picked up a cheap rug in Allied Carpets at the end of the road.
Bad - now feel crap, shaky, feverish again; dosing on Lemsip. I won't be going to K's tonight I think; I don't want to share this.
