LJ friends map

Note to those who've already filled out their ljclustermap info - a lot of you missed! ;)
See below for reasons.

This is kinda funky - although I'm slightly bemused by a couple of people's locations. (Ah - bet that's the multimap issue noted below - whoever wrote the map tool should possibly have improved the input data parsing).

NB: user locations, and the identity of people submitting the data, do not appear to be verified.
(UPD: actually it allows you to set a location first, but has an interesting method of "locking" the data thereafter. Looks quite smart).

To add your data, start here:

I'm trying to get all my Livejournal friends' locations plotted on a map - please add your location starting with this form.
Username:
(Then get your friends to!)

NB: For optimum accuracy, enter your postcode/zipcode at http://www.multimap.com and it'll give you global co-ordinates.

The co-ords you need are the ones in brackets at multimap - that seemed to work perfectly for me...
eg: I have
Lat: 51:37:12N (51.6200) Lon: 0:00:07E (0.0020)
Setting 51.62 North, 0.002 East gets me exactly in place
(NB to those who know where I live - these numbers are obfuscated to avoid making my home address public!)

Failing that, zoom in as far as you can on the most appropriate map before clicking.

Otherwise it's easy to get a couple hundred miles off. (PS: feel free to pass on this advice if you post this in your own journal or userinfo.)

Apologies for previously unclear advice on multimap - now updated

Interests: looks like it - and a few more of yours I could add, and probably vice-versa?

As for the other half - yes, probably - I do seem to keep contact with most people via LJ, but Stammtisch would be a good plan. Apart from which I seem to be completely redefining my social life ATM, so suggestions are welcome.

both real-life and online:

I have recently, and fairly suddenly, opened up how close I let people get to me, how quickly, and how much I let them know. I *think* this is a good thing, but might mean that I display incongrous shyness or reticence, or don't communicate all that rapidly (as I don't have a habit of this). Please just bear with me if this happens ;)

This openness occurred after a particularly disastrous (for me) depressive mood crash in late August, as a realisation that I needed to change some particularly destructive behaviours. I'm hoping that it will work, and last.
