Contact!

I've been going through the address data in my Treo and I've found that I've got a larger amount of missing and/or (probably) outdated info in there.

So - mainly for my own benefit - can I start the "contact" meme again?

Recommended procedure (by no means compulsory, but I think it works):

1) If you already have your contact info in a post, update that post if necessary and link to it from a new post (keeping the post in the same place helps those really organised people who keep lists of friends' contact posts - I'm not one of them (yet). Creating a new "now" post means we can all find and use that old post).

Otherwise make a friends-only or custom-group post containing whatever contact info you think people need.

2) Add your contact post to your memories under a clear title so it can be found in future.

3) If you're feeling particularly memaholic, list who you got the idea from, and who *they* got it from ;)
(the patent nisaba method ;)

Comments on the above welcomed.

My contact post: here - visible to people likely to have a use for the info.

ObGeekNote - my phone lets you attach pictures to people's numbers. I'm using your LJ-icons ;)

Update In case you all think I'm being chronically lazy (well, I probably am), I've just been through most of my friends list to hunt down contact info & birthdays. And realised that my ideas of your ages were almost all wrong, and that I don't know many of your surnames. However I'm now vaguely organised.

The cry for our times should not be: "Won't somebody think of the children?"

"The Palm Desktop does not support events before 1970. This event has been moved to 1970."

Any of you who've published a birth-year on LJ and are over 34 can collect your rebates from Handspring ;)

(FWIW this is only the Windows version; the OSX version copes quite happily and also has better organiser capabilities)
